She posted on her blog a fabulous tutorial on how to make plates yourself, as well as a few other tutorials on getting files ready for print. Others make plates themselves from unexposed polymer using a platemaker (which are very pricey to buy), which I've done in the past but have found that it's easier to just have my files sent out and have made.
